A single-storey house on the east coast of the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides, designed and built by hand by Izat Arundell for the architects themselves. Its 85-square-metre plan bends at 135-degree angles round an outcrop of Lewisian gneiss, the same rock that clads its walls. It won RIBA House of the Year 2025.
A 3D model of Caochan na Creige, built from photographs and drawings with my3dhouse. It is an interpretation of the building, not a survey of it.
Caochan na Creige is an interactive 3D model: turn it, zoom in and look around it in the browser, on a phone or a computer. It was published on 4 October 2026. You can also download Caochan na Creige for Minecraft, as a Java Edition world, a Bedrock world for iPhone, iPad and Android, or a schematic.
