The White House

The white-painted sandstone Executive Residence has a formal eleven-bay entrance front with an Ionic pedimented portico and a curved, columned south portico enclosing the Truman Balcony. Tall sash windows, a rusticated basement and balustraded cornices define the central block beneath its recessed upper storey and low roof.
