Diocletian's Palace

A fortified limestone palace with square and octagonal towers, terracotta-roofed courtyard ranges and a long arcaded waterfront facade. Colonnaded streets connect the imperial apartments, ceremonial peristyle, raised temple and octagonal mausoleum.
