Craig Ellwood's single-storey Hoffman House combines slender dark steel framing, clay-block walls, fir panels and full-height glazing beneath thin flat roofs. Screened courtyards, covered terraces and a carport connect the pavilion to the pool, lawns and wooded garden edges.
